We believe that peace is a vital part of the gospel and of the church's ministry in the world.  Peace is not simply the absence of conflict but the presence of justice toward which we will all work.

We desire to live in peaceful relationships with one another, to identify our differences and transform our conflicts by honest communication under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

We want to discern God's will and maintain unity in the church.  We believe that unity in the church is a way of showing Christ's peace to a world full of hostility.

We believe we are to love our enemies, to forgive those who do wrong against us, and avoid participation in war and military service.  We are to resist evil without violence.
