Ministries - Stumptown Mennonite Church

Education Ministries

To promote participation of the Sunday school program; evaluate Sunday school class structure making adjustments where needed; curriculum planning for adult and primary Sunday school. VBS, and special seminars and electives; evaluate curriculum for consistency with Core Beliefs/Values and congregational vision; promote and encourage development and training of Sunday school teachers.

Youth & Young Adult Ministries

To provide guidance for our young persons in planning and carrying out social, service and spiritual formation activities; to promote youth involvement in broader church activities; develop personal relationships with youth and young adults; provide instruction on our core beliefs and values in conjunction with Ministry of Education and the Ministry Team.

Mission & Evanglism Ministries

To promote local mission and evangelism in our community; promote participation in the broader Mennonite Church and other outreach programs; develop awareness of existing community outreach.

Worship Ministries

Encourage programs and staff to promote meaningful worship, encourage participation in worship; initiate long range planning of worship themes; encourage programming that appeals to all ages; encourage church membership.

Deacon & Counseling Ministries

Assist with visitation - both crisis and maintenance; personal counseling - research and recommend professional counseling where needed; administer benevolent fund; coordinate church response to individuals and community in time of need.

Community Life Ministries

To encourage all persons in the congregation to participate in congregational life and fellowship; to provide opportunity for personal growth through congregational supported activities and services; experiment with new ways to promote congregational and personal spiritual growth.
